The 44th annual Northeast Ohio Photography Show at the Canton Jewish Community Center will run from Feb. 5 through Feb. 25. The Jewish Center, at 2631 Harvard Ave. NW, is open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A special preview for entrants, sponsors, patrons and donors will take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
The show, sponsored by the late Dr. Samuel S. and Celia G. Reinglass, will run through Feb. 25.
Judging on Feb. 1 will determine award winners. Color and black and white photographs will be judged separately in each category. A catalog will list photographer, print and price, if for sale.
Awards will include: Best in Show: black-and-white print, and for Best in Show: color print is $75. The Best in Category: Black and White and Best in Category: color print will receive $50, Best in Student Category winner receives $30.
Each photograph will be categorized by the photographer: Action, people, still life, creative techniques, animals, Judaica/Jewish life, scenic, student entries and open category.
To enter, submit photos with a form, available at the CJCC, from Jan. 25 through Jan. 29 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Entry fees are $10 for CJCC members, $20 for nonmembers, $5 for CJCC students and $10 for non-CJCC students. Rules and entry forms available at CJCC, at 2631 Harvard Ave. NW. For information, call (330) 453-0132.
