Bird in Hand at Beech Creek

On Saturdays and Sundays in January and February from noon to 3 p.m., you can experience the thrill of hand-feeding wild birds at Beech Creek Botanical Gardens and Nature Preserve, at 11929 Beech St. NE in Washington Township, just outside Alliance.
Volunteers will be available to coach you on attracting chickadees to feed from your hand.
The bird feeder is just across the bridge, about a quarter mile from the parking lot.
Dress for the weather. We will provide bird seed, a fire, and a warm beverage.
Admission is free; donations are appreciated.
We also could use additional volunteers to help with this winter event. If you are interested in volunteering, call (330) 829-7050 or e-mail bcbgarden.org.
