The Celtic Club is sponsoring the St. Pet’s Day food donation drive from March 8 through March 17.
Residents can donate dry dog and cat food and cat litter at their local fire station, in most cases, March 8 through March 12, and March 15 through March 17 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Donations also can be dropped off in the front lobby of the Repository.
Donations will benefit local humane and pet rescue groups.
Drop-off sites include:
• Alliance fire station, 63 E. Broadway St.
• Canal Fulton fire station (March 15 through March 17), 1165 Locust St. NW.

This exhibit concentrates on the extremely important, but nonpolitical role that First Ladies play in international diplomatic relationships for our country. This exhibit will feature First Ladies Elizabeth Monroe, Harriet Lane, Helen Taft, Lou Hoover, Jackie Kennedy, Pat Nixon, Rosalynn Carter and Hillary Clinton. On display will be gifts given to First Ladies from various countries around the world on loan from Presidential Libraries and Museums.
Tour includes the exhibit of the Education Building and the Saxton McKinley House

Story Time: Days of the Dinosaurs Wed., Mar. 17, 11 a.m.
Travel back in time to when dinosaurs ruled the Earth! Listen to dino stories, sing dino songs, visit our fossil wall, and hunt for dino eggs.
Stories are for 3-4 year olds, but all ages are welcome, if they’ll be interested. Dress for the weather. Free for members; donation requested from nonmembers. Registration is optional. If there’s any reason we have to reschedule or cancel, we’ll call those who are registered.
Choose from a large array of handcrafted ceramic bowls to support the Massillon Museum. With each bowl purchase, enjoy a lunch of soup, bread, beverage, and dessert. Bowls may be reserved in the days before the lunch with paid reservations as the bowls are completed; walk-ins on the day of the event are welcome. Proceeds will benefit the Massillon Museum's Endowment Fund. Volunteers will serve lunch on Wednesday, March 17, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The Massillon Museum is located at 121 Lincoln Way East in downtown Massillon.
St. Timothy's Episcopal Church presents the fourth ( in a series of five ) Brown Bag Lunch / Organ Recitals. The recital is 30 minutes in length. The church will furnish coffee, tea, and water to go with your meal. The 12:10p.m. Midweek Communion and Healing Service will follow the recital with a short break between the two. Our guest organist today is Joyce Sainato who plays for the Sharon Moravian Church in Tuscarawas, OH. Piano accompaniment will be played by Cheryl Bower.

“The Unguarded Moment,” a retrospective exhibit of 50 photos by Steve McCurry, is on view from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays Feb. 6 through April 2 at the Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography, at 520 Cleveland Ave. NW in downtown Canton.
Admission is free.
McCurry is the photographer who took what has been called the most recognizable photograph in the world today — the green-eyed “Afghan Girl” on the cover of National Geographic in 1984.
At noon March 17, music majors from Malone University will perform a half-hour concert at Westbrook Park United Methodist Church. Three vocalists, Two pianists, and a flautist are scheduled to perform.
The church is at 2521 12th St. NW in Canton.
The Alliance Area Senior Center at 602 W. Vine St., will have a St. Patrick’s Day lunch with corned beef and cabbage noon March 17.

At noon each Wednesday in Lent, a half-hour organ recital will be given by area organists in Westbrook Park United Methodist Church at 2521 12th St. NW in Canton.
Each recital has a theme and Scripture for personal meditation.
The organ console is moved to the center of the chancel so all can see the performer.
This series has continued for the past 19 years and is free to the public.
The Knights of Columbus, Canton Council No. 341, will host a special “Blue Mass” event on St. Patrick’s Day.
The event, which honors local safety forces, will take place at 12:10 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, at 627 McKinley Ave. NW.
The event will include a color guard from the Stark County Sheriff Office, Canton police and fire departments and a traditional bagpiper.

The Stark County Emergency Management Agency and Stark County Amateur Radio Emergency Service will have a Skywarn training session at 6 p.m. March 17 at Stark State College of Technology, 6200 Frank Ave. NW.
The event will be held in conjunction with the state’s Severe Weather Awareness Week, which is March 21 to March 27.
Training will cover what severe weather is, identifying potentially serious weather patterns and reporting the information to the Cleveland National Weather Service (NWS) office, and identifying cloud formations.
