The 44th annual Northeast Ohio Photography Show at the Canton Jewish Community Center will run from Feb. 5 through Feb. 25. The Jewish Center, at 2631 Harvard Ave. NW, is open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A special preview for entrants, sponsors, patrons and donors will take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
The show, sponsored by the late Dr. Samuel S. and Celia G. Reinglass, will run through Feb. 25.

Dan Gilbert is chairman and founder of Quicken Loans Inc., majority owner of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, the American Hockey League’s Lake Erie Monsters and operator of Quicken Loans Arena. He also founded Detroit’s Bizdom U, a non-profit support organization for entrepreneurs that creates successful businesses, jobs, growth and wealth in large, urban cities. Recently, Gilbert successfully backed a proposal, authorizing casinos in four Ohio cities, which will create 34,000 Ohio jobs and
generate millions of dollars in tax revenues for public services, safety and schools.

This marketing event will begin with a Medicare Advantage Plan overview by Mercy's Medicare counselor Terri Gursky. Guests may also compare the cost, coverage and convenience of several Medicare Advantage Plans in one location. No reservations are required.

The Mount Union College Continued Learning Program for adults will take place at 10 a.m. every Tuesday in February in the Hoover-Price Campus Center in Alliance. The program features a different speaker each week.

A free senior citizen luncheon is held on the fourth Tuesday of each month from noon to 2 p.m. in the Independent Living Community Room at Summit’s Trace of Greater Canton, at 836 34th St. NW.

Chris Craft will present "A Few Considerations of A. Lincoln" at the Massillon Museum's Brown Bag Lunch on Tuesday, February 23. Craft, the Museum's special projects coordinator, is a historian with special interest in the Civil War era. The event, which is held in the lobby of the Massillon Museum, 121 Lincoln Way East in downtown Massillon, is free and open to the public. The program begins promptly at 12:10 and concludes by 12:50 to allow for lunch-hour guests. Bring a sack lunch or purchase soup, salad, or sandwiches at the Chit Chat Coffee Shoppe in the Museum lobby.

“Healthy Approach to Lower Back Pain” will be presented by physical therapist Michelle McCann, DPT, MTC, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Feb. 23 at the North Canton Public Library.
Four out of five adults will experience back pain. Learn how to protect your back from injury, decrease pain with physical therapy and cope with chronic pain.
All programs are free and open to the public. The library is at 185 N. Main St.

The Massillon Parks and Recreation Department and Jump Start Sports have combined forces to offer a Speed Training and Conditioning Program at Paul L. David Athletic Training Center. Classes will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This program will work on speed training, agility and conditioning to help athletes ages 8-14 take their game to the next level. Participants will work with successful college athletes in a small group setting. You can register in person at the Massillon Recreation Center or online at www.jumpstartsports.com.

Malone University will present information meetings for each of its five graduate programs on Tuesday, February 23, at 6 pm in the Fred F. Silk Auditorium of Mitchell Hall. Prospective students may visit with the program directors and graduate admissions personnel regarding pursuing a master’s degree in education (M.A), counselor education (M.A.), Christian ministries (M.A.), business administration (M.B.A.), and nursing (M.S.N.).

School of Business: M.B.A. two-year degree program is designed for educating adult professionals.

The Massillon Public Library will host a New Orleans Jazz Concert from 7 to 9 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month, starting Jan. 26, at the Massillon Senior Citizens Center.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Musicians age 14 to 90 come to jam — play and sing — on saxophone, guitar, trumpet, violin, bass, piano and ukulele.
Refreshments will be provided.
The senior center is at 39 Lincoln Way W.

The Malone University School of Arts and Sciences – Department of Music will present the jazz ensemble in concert Tuesday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts, located at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton. The program, under the direction of Ian Indorf, is free and open to the public.
