The 44th annual Northeast Ohio Photography Show at the Canton Jewish Community Center will run from Feb. 5 through Feb. 25. The Jewish Center, at 2631 Harvard Ave. NW, is open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A special preview for entrants, sponsors, patrons and donors will take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
The show, sponsored by the late Dr. Samuel S. and Celia G. Reinglass, will run through Feb. 25.

Cholesterol and glucose screenings are conducted from 8:30 to 11 a.m. the third Tuesday of every month by Affinity Medical Center's Wellness Watch volunteer nurses in Affinity's Eighth Street Lobby, at 875 Eighth St. NE in Massillon.
Lipid profiles are available for $15. The lipid profile includes testing of triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol and glucose, and requires 12-hour fasting.

The Mount Union College Continued Learning Program for adults will take place at 10 a.m. every Tuesday in February in the Hoover-Price Campus Center in Alliance. The program features a different speaker each week.
Attendees are welcome to stay for lunch in the Kresge Dining Commons, at a cost of $6.25, or the B&B Cafe, a la carte, after the sessions.

Burlington Coat Factory at 4790 Everhard Rd. NW is collecting monetary donations to support the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund.
Donations will be accepted through Feb. 17. All Burlington Coat Factory locations will accept donations to the fund.
Assistance provided by the American Red Cross may include sending relief supplies, mobilizing relief workers and providing financial resources.

Through the Help Haiti campaign, Westfield Belden Village mall is serving as a donation collection site for Convoy of Hope Charities. Donations can be made at the Concierge Center in the north wing. Proceeds are transferred directly to those in need.
Convoy of Hope is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that already has an emergency command center operating just outside of the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince and is distributing water and supplies to victims of the earthquake.

Beth Canfield-Simbro, Ph.D., assistant professor of human performance and sport business, will focus on adolescent risk behaviors when she presents “What Are Those Crazy Kids Up To?” at the LINC, the college-community luncheon series featuring Mount Union professors and community members discussing current topics, at noon Feb. 16.

The Massillon Parks and Recreation Department and Jump Start Sports have combined forces to offer a Speed Training and Conditioning Program at Paul L. David Athletic Training Center. Classes will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This program will work on speed training, agility and conditioning to help athletes ages 8-14 take their game to the next level. A Diabetes Support Group, presented by diabetes nurse educators and dietitians, will take place the third Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Affinity Medical Center Board Room (off the Eighth Street entrance) at 875 Eighth St. NE in Massillon.
The group provides individuals with diabetes emotional support and continuing education on important health and lifestyle issues.
Topics and guest speakers will vary.
Family and friends are welcome to attend. The support group is free and registration is not necessary.

Just like other types of property, intellectual property needs to be protected from unauthorized use. This program is an introduction to the four ways to protect intellectual property - patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
